Here is a brainstorm on the types of issues to raise:
- Health & Safety/Prevention
- DSE Regulations - where (not) relevant: employers/schools/colleges
- DSE Awareness & assessments
- Assistance of DEAs/DDA etc.
- HSE re: compliance and enforcement of regs & action taken (lack of) against companies. More assistance to
be given to companies to support workers with RSI (grants etc.)
- Furniture (desks/chairs) & PC equipment
- Cure
- NHS - GP awareness
- Access to physio/specialist
- Medication (NSAIDs/injections)
- Self-help - rest, time away from work (sick pay implications)
- private treatment (physio, oesteopathy, chiropractors, exercise classes (yoga, pilates,
stretching, alexander technique), massage, aromatherapy etc. etc.
- Financial
- Extra cost of self-help
- time off work
- action under H&SAWA; & DDA
- Benefits - industrial injury & DLA & housing benefit.
